I caught up with CNBC's Bob Pisani while enjoying cocktails on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange with a group of portfolio managers. Bob has a great intra-day trading blog located at http://www.cnbc.com/id/20398120.
Jim was showing us some interesting slides of his trips around the world. I don't think anyone understands world economies better than Jim; not only does he hold degrees from Yale and Oxford, but he has driven around the world, twice. In fact, he holds two Guinness Book world records for his travels by bike and car around the world.
After the panels and his presentation Jim was nice enough to stick around for a while. I got to meet the billionaire investor afterwards and thank him for publicly speaking about his ideas on investments.
I was able to chat for a bit with Jon Najarian and Guy Adami from CNBC's Fast Money. I watched the Fast Money show live along with 2000 others that came to Constitution Hall in DC. Guests included Jon Najaria co-founder of OptionMonster.com, former Secretary of Commerce William Daley and the Director of the U.S. National Economic Council Keith Hennessy.
